Windows vista and 7 has a network optimization settings and in this post we are going to use that settings to optimize our internet speed. I have described every command so you can decide that this feature is compatible with your hardware or not.

PLEASE NOTE

Always create a system restore point before doing anything with your windows. So if anything happened wrong then this will help you to change things back to normal

Recommend Windows compatibility

Windows Xp, Vista,7

Run CMD and do what i did.

1.)Type CD/

press Enter

2.) netsh int tcp show global
press Enter

This will show your current system's setting so  write down your current settings to undo it later (if you find anything wrong).

3.) netsh int tcp set global chimney=enabled

This setting will transfer network connection processing tasks from your processor CPU to the network adapter, so it will free up your processor time for other things

press Enter

4) netsh int tcp set global dca=enabled

This setting is for enable direct cache access that will enable your network controller to transfer data directly to your CPU cache by reducing your system overheads. Remember to use this setting you should first confirm that your Processor and chipset is compatible with this setting or not.

5) netsh int tcp set global netdma=enabled

This will allow network adapter to transfer data directly to your application.

6.)netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal

This setting define the amount of data you PC can receive so setting this to normal allow your system to automatically changes TCP Receive Window (RWIN) to suit the current network conditions which can improve your speed performance. (No need to do anything if it's already set to normal)

7.)netsh int tcp set global congestionprovider=ctcp

This setting will enable Compound TCP feature which is a Microsoft algorithm that was introduced as part of the Windows. It is designed to aggressively adjust the sender's congestion window to optimise TCP for connections with large bandwidth-delay products while trying not to harm fairness. So enabling this can improve your internet performance.

press enter

8.)netsh int tcp show global

press enter and your done! Now try to view you tube videos and see the difference

FOR WINDOWS 8.1 USERS

If you get error or the code does not work then try this:

copy this code from pastebin to your notepad : GET THE CODE

save the file with any name you want with .reg extension then when you save it go to your saved directory merge it to your registry restart your system then retype the command if it again says the 'it could be done by using following command' then type netsh int tcp set supplemental custom 300 10 ctcp disabled 50 Then : netsh int tcp set supplemental custom and remember never forget to make backup of your registry and to make restore point of your system before making any change to your system
